Scott has written songs for musical heavyweights such as Mark Ronson and Daniel Merriweather, whom he collaborated with on the international hit "Red". Scott also co-wrote the GRAMMY and Golden Globe-nominated song "Once In a Lifetime," performed by Beyonce on the Cadillac Records soundtrack.
